The main purpose of this page is to spread interest in people becoming Friends of the Gurley Public Library. Membership fee is small. All membership dues are tax-deductible. What a great opportunity to support, or be part of, this growing community! All fees go towards the library, library furniture and to add to our collection of books. There is an open meeting the last Sunday of every month at the Gurley Library.

The book, The Man Called Gurley, written by Col. Donald H. Steenburn is available for purchase at the Gurley Public Library. We also have the 15th Anniversary Edition of the Gurley Herald. Pick up your copies today. Don't miss the chance to own a part of history.
The Gurley library may not have any more books on Capt. Frank Gurley by Col. Donald H. Steenburn. If this is the case, you can obtain a copy of Capt. Frank Gurley by Col. Donald H. Steenburn from:

The Friends of the Library are accepting donations for the library.  If you would like to help send donations payable to: The Friends of the Library, to either address listed below.  All donations are tax-deductible.  We still owe on many things and need final touches on others, we would appreciate any support you can give.  The land (with water and sewage hook-ups) has been graciously donated by the Community Bank of Gurley. The new site consists of brick and meet all safety standards as well as fire codes and has handicap accessibility. The Friends of the Library will sponsor several projects and events throughout the year. At least a thousand  people visit the library each year, if they would contribute only $10 each we could improve our library.  Stop by, one block over from Hwy 72 behind Piggly Wiggly and next to City Hall, to see how far we have come.  This library needs your financial help. The children's education depends on YOU!

You have to be an active member to vote or be nominated at the September meeting for any available office.

If you have some free time and would like to be part of the Gurley Public Library please contact us.
