The photo is of W.R.W. Cobb, Jr. (Will), and his wife, Sarah Jane (Jane) Glass Cobb. W.R.W. stands for Williamson Robert Winfield Cobb. He was named after his fathers first cousin, who was a six term U.S. Congressman out of Jackson County. Other members of the early Cobb family served as County Commissioners, Constables, Justices of the Peace, etc.
They were amongst the earliest settlers of Woodville, Owens Cross Roads, Gurley, Paint Rock, Big Cove, and surrounding areas.
