Hello, I am XXXXX, a registered voter in Congressman Cramer's district. I would like to express my concern about the quarry that is proposed for Gurley, Alabama. I request that Mr. Cramer contact TVA to express concern and to make them aware that lines run through the proposed site. In addition, I would appreciate him contacting the Department of Housing and Urban Development to alert them to the fact that one of their developments, Gurley Gardens is only 750 feet from the proposed site. The quality of life of the people in that development is severely threatened if this proposed quarry is allowed. I appreciate Mr. Cramer's support.

Dear Representative Cramer,
I am _______, a registered voter in your district. I would like to express my concern about the quarry that is proposed for Gurley, Alabama. This proposed quarry will have a significant negative impact on the entire Tennessee Valley and I urge you to take steps to stop the quarry.

I request that you contact the Department of Housing and Urban Development to alert them to the fact that one of their developments, Gurley Gardens is only 750 feet from the proposed site. The quality of life of the people in that development is severely threatened if this proposed quarry is allowed.

Also, I would appreciate you contacting TVA to express concern and to make them aware that their lines run through the proposed site. Leaving the lines in an area where blasting will occur does not seem like a viable option. Moving the lines would seem to be an expensive proposition.

Additionally, I would like you to contact the U.S. Postmaster to express your concern that the recently completed Gurley Post Office is in such close proximity to the proposed quarry site. The likelihood of foundation and other damage to that facility is great if the quarry is approved.

I appreciate you support. If you need to contact me, please e-mail me at XXXXXX or write to me at XXXXX.

Dear Commissioners,

I strongly oppose due to air and water pollution the effort that is underway to start a Rock Crusher & Quarry near the town of Gurley AL.

In my view the proposed Rock Crusher - Quarry & Mine of the M & N Corporation will subject natural areas to unnecessary damage and the public to unnecessary safety risks. I feel that the risk of exposure to the dust that a rock crusher or quarry produces is a serious threat to the quality of life in Gurley and surrounding areas (paint rock, keel mountain and so on…).

Given the number of existing cases of asthmatic children and those suffering from various types of pulmonary diseases, and considering the naturally existing water sources still used by many of us for drinking, home, agricultural and recreational purposes would be sacrificed or greatly reduced by the accumulation of lime sediments, the Rock Crusher is a formula for disaster.

In helping us, you will not only demonstrate your concern for the natural environment and the citizens of our communities; you will become an example of local government at its best.

With sincere thanks,

XXXX
