Observation : The Planning Commission has tentatively recommended R-2 zoning of the M&N Construction property (recently purchased by Vulcan Lands).

Your mention : R-2 is multi-family residential and would be good for Gurley. Most important is that it meets legal justification in determining the zoning of the property.

Comment : Vulcan Purchased Gurley Mountain Land targeted for Quarry. On November 23 2004 a deed transferring Gurley Mountain land from M&N Construction to Vulcan Lands was recorded in Madison County.

Observation : We urge you to attend an important Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 16 at the First Baptist Church on Joplin Street in Gurley.

Comment : We dont live directly in Gurley, but we live overlooking Gurley--on Keel Mountain.

Observation : We can see all of Gurley from our house on the bluff. We will also suffer from the pollution in the air.

Your mention : Personally, it will damage our view--the whole reason we purchased our house--outside the city. It is a very frustrating thing to spend ,000 on land to purchase a beautiful view and then have it ruined with a sore sight like a quarry looking outside...
